On behalf of the officers and the board of directors of the Philippine Lipid and Atherosclerosis Society (PLAS), I am delighted to welcome you to our new website.

Cyberspace has long been a great source of information; and with our new website, we are once again introducing the Philippine Lipid and Atherosclerosis Society to the medical community and its patients to highlight our advocacies, researches, and events that will benefit both doctors and patients.

To fellow physicians, as you access and browse through the PLAS website, I am certain you will find all of the information on Lipidology useful in your clinical practice, enhancing your skills and knowledge to delay and prevent Atherosclerosis in your patients.

To our dear patients, I am hopeful that the resources and learnings you will gather here will empower you to seek for a better health outcome. Furthermore, this can also serve as a venue for you to connect with certified Lipidologists, Endocrinologists, Cardiologists, and other experts in Lipidology, whom can best tend to your lipid concerns.

I believe our new PLAS website can be an opportunity for partnering, interacting, and opening new avenues for better communication among colleagues and healthcare professionals caring for many Filipino patients who are challenged by Atherosclerosis and its risk factors, namely: dyslipidemia, hypertension, obesity, and diabetes.

Our website will include the most recent clinical practice guidelines on dyslipidemia, patient educational materials, as well as selected lecture slides from our members during our national and international symposia.

As we strive to work towards our vision and mission, anchored by our core values, PLAS aims to widen its partnerships in Heath building. Do share with us your thoughts. Help us build a healthier and stronger Philippines.
